Smanie DRS
Sleek and aerodynamic – the DRS is designed for riders with an aggressive riding style who prefer a more curved geometry on the edges of the saddle. It is for those who are always pushing the limit in the breakaway and demand that their equipment performs at the same level they do. If you love an aggressive riding posture, but like saddles that allow added pedaling efficiency from curved edges this is the saddle for you.
Large Cut Out, Rolled Edges
The DRS is a racers saddle. It utilizes a large cut out from back to front to give the rider the ability to get as arrow as possible with full pelvic rotation without sacrificing comfort in the perineum area. Wider saddles have always been a double-edged sword. They provide a large platform to allow the rider to put down maximum power, but many times lead to bruising on the back of riders legs on longer rides. The rolled edges of the DRS allow for those who are pushing speed to the limits to have full leg extension through the pedal stroke and reduce the amount the wider sit-bone area of the saddle comes in contact with the hamstring muscle.

Smanie DH
Born to shred, born to win – the DH series saddle. The story behind the design of the DH saddle is one of legend. It was developed specifically to conquer the most demanding World Cup Downhill tracks on the planet. As mountain bike geometry design progresses, saddle design must also keep pace. Our partnership with the UR Team and legendary riders such as Mick and Tracey Hannah has helped us do just that. The rear cut-out and short design give riders the ability to run even longer dropper posts without fear of the rear tire buzzing the saddle when the suspension becomes super active. The DH series saddle also uses a modified GP series base to ensure the saddle is as light as possible while allowing for extra padding to prevent bruising on the inside of your legs when you need to lean the bike to extreme angles while cornering. Smanie DH series saddle: used by Pro downhill and enduro mountain bikers from Intense Factory Racing, the NS-Bikes – UR Team and dirt jump rider Alec Eklöw.
Extra Padding for Extra Comfort
Short saddles used in DH have been around for a few years now, but they mimicked road designs for far too long. Hard edges and thin padding on the sides of the saddle have been leaving bruises on the insides of aggressive riders’ legs for years. The Smanie DH series saddle comes with ample padding on the sides and the nose of the saddle to protect those who live to send it.

Designed for Speed
The entire design of the DH series saddle was based around one thing and one thing only, SPEED. The race-inspired checkered flag design is our not-so-subtle nod to the legendary riders of the UR Team – Tracey and Mick Hannah.
Minimum Length for Maximum Shredding
The DH series saddle was designed to be the shortest possible while still complying with UCI regulations. At 244mm long it gives you the confidence to be able to run the longest dropper seat post you can find and know that you will be free from rear-wheel contact with your saddle when the dropper post is down.
A shell that is soft, but not too soft
Getting the shell of the saddle just right is crucial; a shell that flexes too much will cause your saddle to wear out prematurely or break, too-stiff, and it will be a very rough ride and cause undesirable pressure issues in some positions. The DH shell uses a modified version of the tried and true GP series shell, which is light enough for a World Tour road race, yet strong enough to win the World Cup DH overall title.

Smanie Apex
The inside line, coming in hot – the Apex is designed for riders with an aggressive riding style. It is for those who are just as at home in a criterium race as they are sending the steeps on their XC or trail bike. If you love an aggressive riding posture, this saddle is for you. The use of ETPU + Gel padding means that the Apex is ideal for long days in the saddle. The Apex features a short-nose that is designed to keep the rider in the sweet spot and eliminates the need to shift positions on the saddle.
Wide Platform, Gently Sloping Profile
The wide and flat platform at rear portion of the saddle gives the rider the perfect perch for maximum stability while putting down huge efforts. The Apex is the evolution of the GP series. It takes the classic flat profile of the GP and introduces a gentle slope from back to front that puts the rider into the power position. It also utilizes a large cut out from back to front to give the rider the ability to get as aero as possible with full pelvic rotation without sacrificing comfort in the perineum area.
